Find out how Kuga Park compares to the best parks in the Iwakuni area! As one of the larger parks we will let you know what to expect!
Sledding in the summer? YESSS!!!
If you’re in the Kuga area, then Kuga Park is a great place to get the kids to burn off some energy! Located on a gentle hillside, there are a few slides and play structures to choose from, along with a wide artificial turf slide for summertime sledding.
There is a small shop in the middle of the park where you can rent your sled, and you will be assigned a time. Everyone had the same slide so it didn’t seem like you could bring you own, unlike Yanai Wellness Park.
Another big feature is a long roller slide with an 360 degree loop! There are also some smaller play structures for younger kids and a zip line.
Kuga Park Location:
Are you looking to make an afternoon and evening out of going to Irori Sanzoku/the “Chicken Shack?” Kuga park is a great place to go before heading to dinner! The big grass slide is in good shape, and all of the kids were having fun on it. There are also different areas for younger kids to play!
- Being situated on a hill made running between play structures more difficult (we took a couple of spills).
- You have to rent the sleds to go down the big slide.
- There wasn’t a lot to explore! There was the tower where the roller slide was, an open sports field, then a few separate slides and the areas for the young children.
- The roller slide is the slowest one we’ve ridden on…traffic jams are frequent!
